Thank you my dear. Same with me, I think the rewiring process will take time but I’m enjoying the things I am learning and finding along the way.

I do think that today, in general, people worry too much about what others think about their work ( be it photography or any other creative pursuit ) The rich availability of other's work, easily accessible, is both a help and a hindrance. Personally, photography is just an enabler for me to bother to look at things in a more detailed way. It is so easy to overlook things, news things, strange things, different things, exciting things wherever you are. They really are all around you.

Things do seem have become more instantaneous and urgent today. I find words help me to slow down, to look again at some of the images I take and to reflect upon them.

In terms of influence, I think it can be as simple as anything that piques an interest. Something that rises above the humdrum and makes you feel good. Being in a great mood is such a positive for being creative ...

Fabulous post 👏 I am influenced by art and music maybe even more than other photographers. I think that it’s important to find your own voice as both an artist and a writer. It has taken me many years to unlearn the grammar that is imposed and to embrace chance and happy accidents. It is impossible to be truly original. But I do sample influences in my work. Thanks 🙏

Thank you for your comments Leanne. I've come to appreciate writing more these days. I think of photography a little less as the "main dish" and rather more as a "side dish".
