Thank you my dear. I think my selection has to do with the context of the question. The YouTube videos are a little wide open on the responses. I wanted to zone in on photos that spoke specifically to me as influential to my opinions on photography.
i don't know if i can pick five, never crossed my mind but i really like what you picked.
i don't know why you won't see fan ho's photo as a social documentary (you have your own reason and i'm no trying to argue with you) but to me it is a documentary about a society different that the western societies, an everyday moment that is part of a social culture less known to us in the west.
I can barely choose 5 favorite photographers. But here it goes in no particular order; Saul Leiter, William Klein, Daido Moriyama, Lazlo Mohagy-Nagy and Dennis Hopper. I spend a lot of time looking at photos (and taking them) and find inspiration everywhere. It would certainly be a challenge to choose 5 photos. Thanks 🙏
Yes it was tough but these photos really stuck in my head over the years. I know there is more that resonate with me and I’m sure there are even more to come.
Great selection! I probably could pick 5 every week, because I read and look at photos so much. And with that my taste and understanding changes too. But it is an interesting idea! Thank you for sharing your five!

Well put. Yea, I think Fan Ho was probably doing just that. Perhaps he was a bit more subtle in it, but it’s there nonetheless. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your list of photographers.

Thank you. Yes I could probably change my list pretty frequently too. But I think these five (at least) have had some influence on me over the years.
Great selection! Perfect for inspiration 😊
Thank you!
