I think most of us know that line from The Lion King. The speech that Mufasa gives to his son Simba.
“Everything the light touches is our kingdom”
Think of how relatable that statement is to photographers. Everything that the light touches, no matter how dark, we can see with our eyes and our cameras.
We see it. We envision it. We capture it. We harness it. We manipulate it. We show it.
We cherish the light that we are able to photograph and we show it to the world. So we all know that there is light, even in the darkest of places.
“May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other go out."
- J.R.R. Tolkien
Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
This newsletter will always be free. Why? Because these days, not everyone can afford a paid subscription and who wants to be nickel and dime’d to death?
But if you do have the means, I can always use a cup of coffee to help me keep writing and creating.
Thank you!

Beautiful images Brandon - the morning light out on the early morning dog walk, where I live, has been so spectacular, yet so subtle - I’m not sure I can do it justice and so just enjoy it with the eyes ... but you’ve done such a wonderful job here ...
You’ve touched the essence there, Brandon. Thank you for sharing!
